Elementary and high school in Dubrovnik, where he completed the music school, the department for guitar. From an early age, he has been a collaborator of the Dubrovnik theater, to the same post-secondary employment as a freelancer and later as permanent member.
After high school he enrolled in marine engineering, and graduated in 1978. 1978 he appears as actor in his first feature film "Occupation in 26 Pictures" by Lordan Zafranovic. That same year, the movie goes to the festival in Cannes, as well as many other festivals, and F. L. received the award at the Actor's Festival in Nis, for the best male role realized.
Since then, he was actor in more than 60 films and TV series, domestic and foreign, and received numerous awards and honors.
In 1984 he recorded with composer Djelo Jusic an LP, with which it in the former Yugoslavia he won the silver, gold and platinum record , and the following year he received an award as the most popular person in show-business in Yugoslavia. After successfully passing the rigorous exam in English language skills, (American Language Institute Georgetown University), in 1984 he received a Fulbright scholarship for the movie, and he went to Los Angeles and the UCLA (University of California Los Angeles) University, attending film production, but also goes to the specialization in acting.
Resides in the USA in the schools and practice for six years, met many people from the show business and founded the firm "Euro-film Production Services' (providing production services for film and television companies), and then returns to his homeland where he continued with film business. With the "Euro-Film" he provides services for films and TV series for the national TV, but also produces films. The film "The Harms case"', with which he represented Yugoslavia at the Cannes Film Festival in the late eighties, received numerous awards at festivals around the world, such as Berlin, Mannheim, Belgrade, Jerusalem, Montreal, Toronto, San Francisco, Chicago, Hong Kong ... On all journeys, recordings and festivals, he met many people from the world of film, with which remains in business.
In recent years, he recorded in his production, and with the foreign licenses, various TV shows (Flying Start, willy-nilly, Modelle, That's my stuff,etc..) for local TV stations, both in Croatia and in neighboring countries (Serbia and Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina ,Slovenia and Macedonia).

- Bosko Balaban is a former Croatian footballer who played as a striker. He is a former member of the Croatia national team. Born in Rijeka, he started playing for local club HNK Rijeka and appeared in 97 matches between 1995 and 2000, scoring a total of 21 goals. During the 1999-2000 season, he was the top scorer of his team with 15 goals and attracted the attention of another Croatian club, Dinamo Zagreb. Playing for Dinamo, Balaban kept up his goalscoring form and once again became the league's top scorer with 14 goals in 25 games. Two games into the following season, he was signed by Aston Villa for a fee of £5.8 million, earning a £20,000-a-week contract. Balaban won 35 international caps for Croatia between 2000 and 2007, scoring ten goals. His debut came in a friendly match against Slovakia on 16 August 2000, after being a regular member of the Croatian under-21 team for more than a year. His debut proved successful, as he scored Croatia's only goal in a 1-1 draw. Balaban excelled during Croatia's qualifying campaign for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, appearing in all eight matches and scored five goals, including a hat-trick against Latvia in a 4-1 victory on 24 March 2001. He was also in the Croatian squad at the final 2002 World Cup tournament, but spent all three group matches on the bench. He subsequently did not appear in any matches for Croatia between February 2003 and August 2004, missing the entire Euro 2004 qualifying campaign as well as the final tournament. He made his competitive comeback against Bulgaria on 9 October 2004 in the Croatian team's qualifying campaign for the 2006 FIFA World Cup and subsequently appeared in another four qualifying matches, scoring a brace against Iceland on 3 September 2005. He was also a squad member at the 2006 World Cup finals, but once again spent all three group matches on the bench. In early September 2006, Croatia manager Slaven Bilic dropped Balaban, along with teammates Ivica Olic and Dario Srna, from the squad for their opening Euro 2008 qualifier against Russia because of a late-night party in a Zagreb disco. However, Balaban was the only one of the three players to return to the squad for the very next qualifier against Andorra one month later, which Croatia won 7-0. Coming on as a substitute an hour into the match, and with Croatia 5-0 up, Balaban subsequently scored the fastest-ever goal by a single player for the Croatian national team, scoring just 20 seconds after coming onto the pitch.

- She grew up in Tito's Yugoslavia, which united six republics under a central socialist system of government. Three languages were spoken in the state. The population followed three different religions. From 1982 to 1992, Drakulic worked as a journalist for the weekly magazines "Start Cultural" and "Danas" in Zagreb. After the collapse of real socialism in Eastern Europe and the downfall of the Yugoslav multi-ethnic state in 1989, Drakulic published the novel "The Longing Principle". "How We Survived Communism - and Still Laughed" was published in 1991. The writer later commented on the civil war in the Balkans with publications such as "Dying in Croatia - About the War in the Middle of Europe" (1992). Drakulic's further publications followed and were translated into more than 15 languages: in 1997 she published "The Love Offering" and "Café Paradies or The Longing for Europe". A year later the novel "Marble Skin" was published. In 1999 she presented "As if I didn't exist".
After the end of the armed conflict in the Balkans, Drakulic took part as an observer in the proceedings of the International War Crimes Tribunal in The Hague and some courts in Croatia. This resulted in a book about the perpetrators of the Balkan wars: "No one was there - war crimes in the Balkans on trial." The sensational book deals with the banality of evil and the psychology of terror as two major challenges of the 20th and 21st centuries. Drakulic also writes for international print media such as "FAZ", "La Stampa", "Dagens Nyheter" and "Politen". At the opening event of the Leipzig Book Fair 2005, Drakulic received the Leipzig Book Prize for European Understanding on March 16th. She received the award for her book "Nobody Was There."

With the end of WWII, exiled from Tito's regime in 1945, he first attended university in Padua and then lived in Genoa, where he started his cinematographic career. In 1951 he moved to Rome where the Cinecitta' studios were the center of the European film industry, and began his activity as cameraman with director of photography Gianni Di Venanzo. This collaboration lasted until 1960, giving rise to movies with directors such as Carlo Lizzani ("Achtung banditi", "Cronache di poveri amanti"), Mario Monicelli ("Big Deal in Madonna Street" -- academy award nomination for best foreign-language film), Michelangelo Antonioni ("Le amiche", "Il grido"), Mario Camerini Alberto Lattuada Dino Risi Francesco Maselli Francesco Rosi Aglauco Casadio and Federico Fellini. In 1960 Erico Menczer became director of photography and has since made more than 100 movies.
